Hilpoltstein (German pronunciation: [ˈhɪlpɔltˌʃtaɪ̯n] ) is a town in the district of Roth, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated 10 km southeast of Roth bei Nürnberg and 30 km south of Nuremberg, close to the lake 'Rothsee.

History
