Killing Joke on brittiläinen post-punk-, uusi aalto- ja industrial metal -yhtye, joka perustettiin vuonna 1978. Perustajajäsenet Jeremy ”Jaz” Coleman (laulu, syntetisaattorit ja sovitukset) ja Kevin ”Geordie” Walker (kitara) ovat olleet yhtyeen ainoat pysyvät jäsenet.

Yhtyettä pidetään laajasti yhtenä merkittävimmistä 1970-luvun lopun ja 1980-luvun alun post-punk/uusi aalto -kokoonpanoista^{kenen mukaan?}.

Killing Joken musiikki koostuu tyypillisesti metallisista kitaroista ja raskaista, tanssittavista rytmeistä. Colemanin lavaesiintyminen on ritualistista ja laulu vaihtelee puhelaulusta raspiseen ärjyntään. Välillä laulu on uhkaavaan murinaa ja toisinaan tunteellista ja melodista. Koskettimet olivat kantava elementti varsinkin yhtyeen 1980-luvun tuotannossa. Geordie ei koskaan soita kitarasooloja.

Yhtyeen tyyli kehittyi 1970-luvun post-punkista ja dub reggaesta 1980-luvulla kohti industrial metalia. 1990-luvulla Killing Joken musiikkiin tuli tanssimusiikin elementtejä.

Kitaristi Geordie Walker kuoli 64-vuotiaana kaksi päivää vakavan halvauskohtauksen jälkeen 26. marraskuuta 2023.^[1]
